“I’ve had step-parents,” Shelton said. “I think it’s, in some ways, harder, more difficult. I try to be careful about when to step back and be smart about when to step back and just talk, but no matter what, I’m always there if I’m needed.”

While he’s embraced the role of a stepfather with genuine love, the possibility of adding a biological child to their family could bring a unique joy.

Despite a temporary pause, the couple consulted a specialist in 2022, resulting in Gwen’s apparent successful conception.
